This Episode: The New Retail Super Power
In this episode of Real Retail TV, you’re going to discover the new retail super power. When you tap into this super power all of a sudden your ability to do important work will go up dramatically.
I always love to hear from you! Please put your thoughts in the comments section down below.
Great suggestions! I can relate… Progress over perfection has definitely been a problem for me while trying to complete my training manual.
This was so valuable!! Great example of your own struggle which I’m afraid is affecting all of us. Covid-Brain makes it worse. Great tools, great examples, great video. A zillion thanks.
Bob, can you comment with the 2 websites please?

Thank you, just the topic and tools I need this week to get started on a project.
You’re welcome!
Hi Bob! I wanted to chime in here, because in my non-retail consulting work, I am also a writer and a performer. My improv training was really valuable for that, and I certainly encourage anyone and everyone to do an improv course (and there are some that are focused on business improv, not just actors!). That said, one of the things I’ve learned, which lines up exactly with what you are saying, is that it’s a whole lot easier to edit something you’ve written, than to find and craft that incredible perfect line. And if you talk to any professional writers, they’ll tell you that they spend more time in editing and rewriting, than writing.
But the other thing that comes from my improv training is this: don’t evaluate the work while you’re doing it. If you write something and then think, “Aww, that’s lousy,” then you’ll shut down the writing process within seconds! So don’t evaluate, just write, and edit later. And definitely, get involved in some improv. It will change your life!
Dan,
I love your comments. Thank you!
And you have inspired me to take an improv class!
Fucus is always the biggest challenge. Love the tools. Can you spell out the Scribbler.io (?) site. This does not appear to be correct.
Thank you
squibler.io I don’t always enunciate like I should (:
Thanks I will give brain.fm a look.
Squibler?
Happy Easter
Thanks Bob,
Your timing was perfect. Yesterday I was telling my husband how much trouble I was having focusing, therefore not being as productive as I needed to be. For two months I was dealing with a family issue where I was on call 24/7. Now that the crisis is over, I need to get my brain re-focused and it is hard. I’m going to try the 30 minute idea, I believe it might work!
Thank you for your sage advice,
Sherree
You’re welcome Sheree. Good luck!
