This Episode: The #1 Thing You Need
Confidence is the single most important personality trait any retailer can possess. Many people incorrectly think confidence is something you “have,” but it’s not, it’s something you develop. In this episode of Real Retail TV, you’ll learn how to steadily increase yours!
I’d love to hear what you think in the comments section below.
I really needed to hear this. I seem to struggle with my confidence as a business owner. I actually feel more confident after watching this video. I watch it often as a reminder
I enjoyed your message as well as your walk on the your hometown boardwalk.
Thanks Laurie!

Thanks Bob! I watched it twice and took notes. I like that approach that confidence is something you develop, not something you innately have. Since Covid 19, I let my most of my team go. I can’t explain the freedom I felt when I got back in the driver seat and didn’t have to report to them. My lack of confidence held me back from making good decisions about the management. I am learning and growing through this time and I often think about not feeling confident in what I am doing. It helps to focus on the things that we are doing right sometimes. This was a good lesson. Thank you!
You’re welcome Tammy. I’m glad you found it helpful!

Your message today is one of the most important to know. Thanks for reminding us.
I’m getting ready to fire someone tomorrow. She is making too many mistakes that are starting to cost me money. Ive given her at least 3 chances and 2 times were in my office. Ugh Your right the first time it was awful but now it is no problem. Lol.
Great message ! Thank you for your pearls of wisdom.
You’re welcome Tracey!

Loved the tour! Well this past year I have opened my store and ended up firing the store manager just almost a year into it. That was the best and hardest decision I have made to date. Sales have improved, employee attitudes have been sky high ever since and out of all this I ended up hiring one of the best merchandisers and customer oriented person I have ever encountered in my 30+ years in retail!
I’m glad it worked out for you Pam!
Thanks, Bob! I guess I have to get brave and busy with FB Live. Ugh.
On the easy side: I enjoyed the Grand Haven tour!
Kate, Yep. Time to get brave (:

Thank Bob
I Will march on with confidence
Thanks
March on Trish!

Thanks for this, Bob!
As usual, spot on!
Made me think new things.
See you at NAMM Nashville next time!
Thanks Jim!

I taught tennis for 28 years and I gave the same message to all of my students. You learn confidence by stepping outside of your comfort zone and adjusting your results as needed. Thanks Bob, a great message to hear especially in these times of so much advertising tearing us all down!
I’m glad you liked the message!
