This Episode: My Most Important Message
This week’s video message is different than my typical Real Retail TV but I think it is a very important statement about my core values and our core values here at WhizBang! Retail Training. Please take a moment to watch it now.
I’d love to hear your thoughts, favorite resources, or ideas to help fight racism in the comments section below.
I keep asking what has changed since the 60’s? I agree we must do better but it is a two way street, until we sit down together and understand both sides of the equation, does anything really change beside the laws? RESPECT is earned and the riots are not helping. I love hearing your backstory and there is truth in growing up around people of color. I grew up with Indian reservations surrounding our community. Some of my best friends in high school were Native Americans, but interesting I did not see color only friendship. My parents never talked racism, it starts at home on both sides of the isle. Thank you Bob!
Thanks Bob for keeping it real and telling us of your heritage. What a great legacy to continue with. Even here in NZ the topic of white advantage has gone unaddressed for too long. We must keep pressing in to improve on the previous generations work reminding ourselves that ‘evil triumphs when good people do nothing’
Thanks Stephen. Yes, we must keep improving!
Thank you for sharing your truth.
You’re welcome Stephanie.
A powerful statement,,, loved hearing about your background. Your words ring true for me .. like to understand what else I can do. Action Do speak louder than words
Thank you
Thanks for your comments Dianne. Yes, actions speak louder than words.
Thanks for eloquently saying what many of us whites believe. I stand with you to do everything I can do, both big and small, to bring equitable justice and opportunity to all!
Thanks Ray. Your comment is appreciated.
Thanks, Bob, for sharing your story. One of the most important places to start is listening to the stories of our community. Here are a couple of links to a list of resources for white people to help fight racism.
This first document is intended to serve as a resource to white people and parents to deepen our anti-racism work. If you haven’t engaged in anti-racism work in the past, start now. Feel free to circulate this document on social media and with your friends, family, and colleagues.

Well said and so true!
Thanks Lee!
Well said. Important statement and I appreciated hearing your back story. “We’ve come too far to only come this far.” I join you in your commitment to work together to keep moving things forward.
Thank you Kim. Let’s keep working together!
Thank you, Bob! Loved hearing your back story.
Your encouragement helps me feel bolder in making my statements in support of Black lives here in a blindly white area. I’ve written and revised my newsletter 5 times in the past 2 weeks. It’s risky on so many levels, but now I’m fired up to do the right thing. We white people have an obligation to speak truth to power. Communicating honestly, with knowledge and love, is never the wrong choice. Thanks again.
Thank you Kate. I appreciate your thoughts, comments and actions!
Well said and said from the heart. Our next step is to find how to make change.
Thanks Dixie. I appreciate your comment. Let’s keep working!
